About AltsVault
AltsVault is a screener for the alternative funds that file with the SEC but can’t be screened anywhere else — business development companies, interval funds, tender-offer funds and other non-traded vehicles. Their filings are public; the tools that read them mostly stop at exchange-traded tickers. AltsVault reads the filings and turns them into comparable figures: assets, leverage, fees, yields, and position-level portfolios.
The numbers are kept honest by keeping their receipts. Every figure links to the SEC filing it came from. Where two SEC sources both report a value, they are checked against each other and the figure is labelled 2 sources. Implausible values are quarantined rather than published — what you see is either what was filed or nothing, and a missing number renders as missing, never as zero. The methodology page states the full rules, including what they do not buy you.
AltsVault is independently built and run; it takes no payment from the funds it covers and has no position in them. For press or data enquiries, write to contact@alts-vault.com.
